Founded by Ashley Muspratt in Kigali, Rwanda, Pivot Works is an innovative city-scale solution to treating human waste. Instead of letting it become a burden to poor urban citizens, Pivot Works converts it into renewable fuel that can be sold to industrial customers such as cement companies. This groundbreaking approach not only removes the cost burden from those who can least afford it, but also creates a sustainable way of utilizing what would otherwise be a waste product.
